Marlowe Evans is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of New Brunswick. Originally from British Columbia, she works as a columnist for the newspaper in her hometown of Maple Ridge, and is also a reporter for The Brunswickan, UNB’s student publication. Marlowe has a vested interest in journalism,  agriculture, history, and modern political systems, as well as the relationships between those things and the ancient world. When she’s not studying, Marlowe enjoys exploring, late nights walks by the river, and painting.

Gaia is currently in their second year of Mathematics-Physics and Computer Science. Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, they volunteer as the head of the UNB Debate Club, and as a radio show host for The Public Debate on CHSR 97.9 FM. While focused on the hard sciences, Gaia has a passion for politics, history, and philosophy, and uses these interests to advance the debate club and work towards forming other clubs on campus. In their free time, Gaia enjoys playing video games, listening to music, or participating in events on campus.

Brandon is a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of New Brunswick who is also pursuing a double minor in electrical engineering and psychology. He wishes to continue to graduate school where he will get degrees doing research in both engineering and immunology. He is looking to use engineering as a gateway into making impactful change throughout the world and solving global issues, focusing on international development, health and security. When not studying you can find Brandon running, reading, volunteering and pushing for social change, or working on one of his many side projects.

Claire is a second year biology student at the University of New Brunswick. She enjoys academic challenges and aspires to attend graduate school following her undergraduate degree. Her academic interests include microbiology, cellular biology, and human pathology, as the intricacy of the human body and its systems on a cellular level have continuously fascinated her. Outside of school, Claire enjoys community volunteer work, camping, fishing, and exploring the local scene.

Fareeha is working toward a Biology major and Psychology minor at the University of New Brunswick. Her research interests lie in epidemiology and the social determinants of health. She hopes to pursue a career in the field of medicine. In her free time, Fareeha enjoys working on freelance graphic design and searching for good restaurants around Fredericton.

Hannah is studying Medicinal Chemistry at the University of New Brunswick continuing her passion for learning. While her primary interests lie in chemistry, she is also fascinated by mathematics and genetics. She hopes to pursue a career within the medical field to provide help and support for those in need, with a particular interest in neuroscience and geriatrics. Outside of school, Hannah enjoys volunteering on the transitional care unit of the Hospital, playing basketball, and hanging out with friends and family.

Jasmine is currently studying Biology-Chemistry at the University of New Brunswick. She has always enjoyed challenging herself and asking lots of questions about the world. Passionate about learning and discovery, Jasmine is intrigued by the research world, especially in the field of pharmacology. When Jasmine isn’t at the science library, she can be found hiking, eating, or taking photographs.

Jorian is studying biochemistry at the University of New Brunswick. He has a curiosity for many areas of study including genetics, cell biology, cosmology, philosophy and religious history. When he gets a break from studying, you can find him playing jazz music at one of the downtown restaurants, reading a book or gazing out a window pondering life’s deepest questions.

Lauren is concurrently pursuing Biology and History degrees at the University of New Brunswick. A passionate advocate for the environment, Lauren aspires to promote sustainable development and environmental action within her local and global community. She aims to use her education in the Arts and Sciences to tackle environmental issues from a human perspective. Outside of the lab and library, Lauren's hobbies include pottery, gardening, reading, and playing music with her band. Lauren also enjoys spending time outdoors; hiking, skiing, and walking her dog Daisy.

Louis-Philippe is an undergrad student in electrical engineering at the University of New Brunswick, after completing a bachelor’s in science. He is very passionate about research in general. However, his biggest passions are nanotechnology, quantum mechanics, electronics, and robotics. He hopes to one day advance the field of robotic miniaturisation. Outside of class, you can find him studying in one of the libraries on campus, making a new culinary experiments in his kitchen, reading a book, playing video games, or having a random philosophical discussion with someone.

Vanessa is currently in her second year of her Medicinal Chemistry degree at the University of New Brunswick. Fascinated by the world of science, Vanessa hopes to gain research experience through her time at UNB. Vanessa plans on attending dental school after completing her degree, which will be a stepping stone to her dream of becoming an orthodontist. Outside of school, she spends time traveling, reading and enjoying time with friends and family.
