The main goal of my research program is to identify strategies to have more people being regular exerciser. My current projects focus on older adults, and people living with chronic conditions such as obesity and cancer.

Individual differences in visual attention and mental rotation: We will administer two visual attention tasks and a mental rotation to examine individual differences in these tasks.

Dr. Sénéchal’s research interests focus on the impact of physical activity and exercise training on cardiometabolic health in obese individuals.

I am probably best described as an applied sport psychologist; however, my research spans two major streams of inquiry: 1) The application of psychology to sport and exercise performance, and 2) the development of hope and coping in cancer survivors.

I investigate ways to increase access to psychological interventions, with a focus on anxiety, post traumatic stress, and related disorders. I pursue these goals via three primary pathways.

My research focuses on quality of life (broadly defined) for autistic individuals and their families. Representative projects have included predictors of quality of life for school-aged children with autism and for autistic adults; autistic youths’ transition from high school, job satisfaction of autistic adults.
