Ben Newling - PhD, UNB MRI Centre

University of New Brunswick - Professor, Physics

My research is in the development of new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods for quantitative measurements in materials. The physics we use is the same as that used in clinical MRI, but all of our measurements are directed at materials science. I am particularly interested in the measurement of mass transport in all guises, from turbulent flow to molecular diffusion.
Ben Newling is very interested in summer internships or co-ops, but cannot provide proper supervision to more than two or three undergraduate researchers at a time, so there are sometimes more interested applicants than positions.
