Madeleine is currently in her third year of Biology with a concentration in Cell Biology at the University of New Brunswick. Madeleine has worked as a research assistant in a microbiology lab at UNB where she used molecular techniques to study the stress response mechanisms and gene expression of a bacterium that fixes nitrogen for plants. In the future, Madeleine hopes to pursue a career in the medical-related field. When Madeleine is not studying or working in the lab she enjoys volunteering with Best Buddies, going for hikes, hanging out with friends and doing CrossFit!
