Host: Autism Connections Fredericton
The Voices of Autism Speaker Series seeks to engage people on the spectrum to share their lived experience.
Their presentations will enhance your understanding of the challenges people on the spectrum face, and the strategies that help them succeed, all the while offering first-person perspectives on varied topics relevant to the greater Fredericton Community.

Patricia George-Zwicker is 49, from the South Shore of Nova Scotia and didn't know she/them was Autistic, till she/them was 42.
Long before learning about Autism, Patricia has always been an advocate in one way or another. But when they found out they were Autistic, self advocacy and ultimately advocating with and for others became an integral part of helping Patricia find her place as a neurodivergent, disabled person in this world.
Advocacy can be very rewarding but it also comes with many pitfalls. There's an unspoken cost to advocacy and that will be the topic of Patricia's talk.
Please join us on Thursday, September 20th for an evening of sharing, learning & connecting. Patricia is very much looking forward to meeting everyone!
There is a suggested donation to Autism Connections Fredericton of $10.
