David James Savarese ("Deej") is a nonspeaking autistic who types on a text-to-voice synthesizer and shares his story of transitioning to adulthood and college. Deej demonstrates obstacles to inclusion within the American educational system.

The Voices of Autism Speaker Series seeks to engage people on the spectrum to share their lived experience. Their presentations will enhance your understanding of the challenges people on the spectrum face, and the strategies that help them to succeed, all the while offering first person perspectives on varied topics relevant to the greater Fredericton Community.
