Rakshit Galwa

Hi - I’m Rakshit Galwa, a third-year BSc student pursuing an Honours in Biology-Chemistry at UNB Fredericton. Due to my love of science, I got involved in laboratory research in high school and have continued to be on the search for the answer to my question “Why?” in a laboratory setting ever since. I attended the Reaching Higher conference in my grade 11 year. Since then, I have become very interested in the aim of the ASRJ, which is to foster interest in and highlight the research ongoing in the Atlantic provinces. In my free time, you can find me playing badminton, watching/following way too many sports, watching movies, and nerding out over exotic cars.

Popper puts it "While differing widely in the various little bits we know, in our infinite ignorance we are all equal". Research will always be relevant to the individual and to society at large. Unknowingly or knowingly, we carry a duty of doing our best to be educated as both scientists and citizens of the world. In my downtime, I enjoy reading, writing journals, playing piano, and cooking.
