Jeremy Slayter

Jeremy is studying Biology at the University of New Brunswick - Fredericton. He has a passion for all realms of science, but predominantly health related as well as psychological science. When he is finished university he intends on applying for Medical School and pursuing a career as a Neurologist. Andrew Ward

Andrew is a Biology student at the University of New Brunswick with a passion for all health related fields, spanning the biomedical sciences as well as, social determinants and ethical principles of health. Andrew firmly believes in harnessing student engagement to drive social change and is ecstatic to launch the ASRJ along with the team. He is also an Educational Proctor in an on-campus residence and competes on the varsity swim team. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys cycling and all things coffee related!

Jon Lazarev

Jonathan is studying Biochemistry at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton. His academic endeavours and interests include all the major sciences, with a focus in healthcare. After completing his undergraduate degree, Jonathan wants to pursue a career in a medicinal field. During his summers, Jonathan has had the chance to work on research projects spanning from genetics, to diagnostic healthcare. Jonathan spends most of his time at the gym, or studying at your local library.

Srijain Man Shrestha

Srijain is studying Biology at the University of New Brunswick. He has a passion for oncology and neurological research and hopes to pursue medicine after his undergraduate degree. There is so much research in all areas of STEM that is going on currently in Atlantic Canada but unfortunately so few students are aware of this and even fewer know where to go to obtain this information. Srijain hopes that the ASRJ can be a viable and knowledgeable forum for scientific research for students and the broader public. In his spare time, Srijain can be found studying in the Science Library, listening to a classy podcast or finishing up chores at weird hours.

Chloe is entering her second year of studying Leadership with a minor in Public Policy at the University of New Brunswick - Renaissance College. With a passion for politics, she hopes to continue to law school following her degree and work with policy in the future. In her spare time, Chloe can be found binge watching Netflix documentaries and enjoying soup day at Renaissance College.

Daniel Hanscom

Daniel is currently at the University of New Brunswick majoring in Biology and minoring in Mathematics. His academic interests include medicine, population genetics, and biochemistry. After Daniel achieves his Bachelor Degree he’s hoping to pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Apart from drowning in textbooks he can be found at the gym, in the line at Tim Hortons or jamming out to the Tragically Hip!

Chantelle Masterson

Chantelle is a Renaissance College graduate with a minor in Biology from the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and is now continuing her studies at UNB as a Computer Science student. Chantelle works at the Ville Cooperative where she has been a Research Assistant for the iGenNB: Intergenerational Living for Community Well-Being project, and is currently working as the Computer Systems Consultant. With a passion for the fine arts, the great outdoors, and her community, you can find Chantelle painting, hiking, rock climbing, or volunteering.
